My story

Music has always been how I express myself, like nothing else ever could. I've been behind the lights, the sound board and the music, and up front playing and singing in bands, since 1999.

I joined the U.S. Army at 17, fresh out of high school, and spent a semester at LSU while waiting to ship out for training during wartime in 2003. As fate would have it, injuries brought me home before I could take on the missions I'd always dreamed of. Even through the toughest and darkest times of my life, music kept me going.

After almost 20 years of service at AT&T, I was laid off and given two weeks to find something new. I scrambled to pay my bills and make ends meet by entertaining and performing, and by helping out and learning under Baton Rouge DJs, including Jordan with Geaux BIG, who helped mold me into the DJ I am today.

After many years of trying to conform and work in an office, I've learned I love to move and be outside. Out in nature and on the water, you get to hear nature's songs if you stop and listen long enough. Now I write the soundtrack to my life one day at a time.

I'm a single, middle-aged woman making it in a tough Louisiana economy by doing what I love, and sharing that joy with you, whether it's a packed dance floor or a quiet morning on the water.
